Mind Body Defense believes that self-defense is about protecting your body as well as your state of mind. We also believe that self-defense must be personalized because of the diverse backgrounds, experiences, and readiness both physically and mentally. These classes follow the same Tetra-T philosophy of development, but the techniques, tactics, training, and transformations are different. Each session will include physical preparation for encounters at every range (punching, grabs, grappling on the ground) as well as mental preparation to avoid confrontation or act in self-defense.
Mind Body Defense teaches more than the skills to survive physically violent altercations. It helps the student to survive the real world. Students learn how to deal with situations like bullying and manipulation in the workplace as well as showing confidence in new endeavors, and how to stay true to themselves. The student becomes mentally free because they are more aware of the state of their world, so they can make more informed decisions.
Self-Defense is taught in individual and group settings
